Course Overview
The Core Carbine Skills Course is our foundational training program designed to refine the fundamental techniques that underpin practical rifle shooting. Grounded in motor learning science, this course provides shooters—whether beginners building their foundation or experienced operators optimizing their mechanics—with the tools and methodologies to achieve measurable, long-lasting performance gains.Through structured drills, deliberate practice, and performance-based training, participants will master closed skills—precise, repeatable actions that form the backbone of consistent and reliable carbine performance. Emphasis is placed on precision, repetition, and actionable feedback to develop automaticity in essential motor patterns, ensuring consistent results in any scenario.
What to Expect
Course Objectives:
- Develop a mastery of foundational skills: Structure, Grip, Sighting, Trigger Mechanics, Recoil Management, and Target Engagement.
- Build confidence and consistency through deliberate practice and structured drills.
- Enhance the transferability of core skills to dynamic and high-pressure scenarios.

Primary Gear List
- Firearm: A modern semi-automatic carbine with a capacity of at least 20 rounds.
- Optics: A reliable red dot or low-power variable optic (LPVO) is recommended.
- Magazines: At least three magazines, with a carrying system for easy access.
- Ammunition: Minimum of 800 rounds for carbines.
- Sling: A quality two-point adjustable sling.
- Eye and Ear Protection: Ballistic-rated eye protection and electronic hearing protection.
- Support Gear: Water, snacks, sunscreen, and clothing appropriate for outdoor range conditions.
A detailed gear list and exact location will be provided upon registration.
Registration Information
Time and Location:
Class begins promptly at 0900. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to prepare their gear.
Range location details will be included in your confirmation email.
Range Fees:
Payable on-site the morning of the course unless otherwise noted.
Eligibility:
By registering, participants certify that they meet all legal requirements for firearm possession and are of appropriate age for this training.
Class Cancellation Policy
In the rare event that we must cancel a class, participants will receive a full refund or credit toward a future course.
Student-Initiated Changes:
With 7+ Days’ Notice: Full credit transfer to another course.
Less than 7 Days’ Notice: No refunds or credits will be issued.
